ABOUT OUR IT SUPPORT
Ian Lamela
Since I was a kid, I’ve loved tinkering with computers and gadgets. The freedom and endless possibilities that computers sparked my interest in technology. I started by helping relatives and neighbors with their computer problems, eventually progressing to modifying video game consoles.
As technology continues to advance, new challenges emerge in the modern world. It’s no longer just about fixing computers and resetting passwords; it’s also about learning how to leverage new technologies to simplify processes while helping protect businesses.
This is why I chose this field. There is always something new on the table, and the industry is constantly evolving. It’s never stagnant, which means there is always something new to learn and explore.
That’s what keeps it interesting and prevents it from becoming boring over time.

How did you get started in the virtual assistant industry, and what drew you to it?

I am curious person and I usually find ways to make complex tasks into simple ones.
If your job came with a theme song, what would it be and why?
If my job came with a theme song, it would probably be “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” by Daft Punk. I think it fits IT because technology is all about constantly improving and finding better ways to do things. Whether it’s troubleshooting a problem, automating a task, or implementing new technology, there’s always an opportunity to make something faster, simpler, and more efficient. It also reflects the mindset of continuously learning and adapting, which is something I enjoy about working in IT.
Highlight your unique methods and tips for staying organised and efficient.
I stay organized by keeping clear priorities and maintaining a simple system for tracking tasks and deadlines. I try to solve problems efficiently by looking for ways to automate repetitive tasks and simplify processes whenever possible. I also make sure to document important information so it’s easy to find and reference when needed.
What’s one unexpected skill or talent you bring to the team that people might not know about?
I can let you play video games and watch movies and anime for free.
Reveal a surprising aspect of your personality or abilities that adds value to your role.
One surprising aspect of my personality is that I’m naturally curious and enjoy figuring out how things work. I tend to stay calm when troubleshooting and like approaching problems from different angles. This helps me adapt quickly and find practical solutions, especially when dealing with unfamiliar technology.
